Natural Stone Disclaimer

All stones vary in color, grain, texture, and veining. These natural variations within the stone enhance the beauty of the finished installation. Samples should be used for a general representation of color only. Because all stones are natural no guarantees as to a specific stone's characteristics can be given. Before installation, all material should be laid out in order to see the natural variations and to plan how best to install them. In all cases use of material constitutes acceptance.

Samples

Due to the nature of ceramic tile and marble, our customers are strongly recommended to first obtain a sample of the material they are considering purchasing.  In most cases, especially marble, the samples will be representative of the general characteristics of the product only. It is important to remember that marble varies naturally and ceramic is manufactured with variations purposefully. These variations add beauty and dimension to the finished installations.

Returns

Although we are not a manufacturer, all of our products that we sell have a warrantee from the manufacturer to be free of defects. Any product shown to be defective at the time of sale will be replaced free of charge.  In the event of a defective product or a wrong product shipped by us occurs, please email us with the specifics, leave the product in its original packing form, and we will have the appropriate carrier pick it up.  Replacement material will then be shipped at our expense. In all events, use of any product constitutes acceptance of that product.

Shipping and Delivery

We take great care in packing all our products to insure that they travel to you in the safest manner possible.  However, when they leave our warehouse we must count on the specific carriers to do their best to get the products to you safely.  In the event that there is damage to your shipment, it is your responsibility to contact the carrier and file a damage claim.

When your order is shipped we will e-mail you with the confirmation of your shipment.  This confirmation e-mail will give you the carrier's name (such as UPS), phone number, and the tracking number of your specific shipment (if available).  This will allow you to anticipate its arrival and be there to receive it.  Because many orders weigh a great deal and must be shipped by common carriers, the customer needs to make arrangements to receive the material.  Typically a carrier will bring the material to your home and assist only in off-loading the material.  Consideration should be given to where it will be stored, how far it must be carried and the ability to handle packages that weigh 50 lbs. or more.

All items that are in stock will ship within 72 hours of the receipt of your paid order.  If any item is out of stock, our inventory is replaced within 14 days and then shipped. Because many of our items are imported, time frames of 60 days can occur but are infrequent. If we foresee a shipment time beyond our normal 72 hours, we will notify you by e-mail.

All orders under 50 lbs. will be bubble wrapped, boxed, and shipped UPS Standard Ground.  Our packing and handling charge is free!  You pay only the shipping cost and the cost of the materials.  Most bulk orders over 50 lbs. will be shipped via common carrier on a pallet for extra protection.  This service includes packaging and labeling all trims, decorative pieces, and other specialty pieces in individual boxes, wrapping and banding the entire order.  Again, the packing and handling are free. You pay for the shipping cost and the cost of the materials only.

Pricing and Selection

Due to the constant changing of items and availability we cannot guarantee availability of products.  We make every effort to have products available.  However, when manufacturers discontinue an item, we have no control over them.  If an item becomes unavailable and one of our customers needs to finish a project we can and will contact the manufacturer and search for the item.

We also cannot guarantee that pricing will be consistent due to fluctuating costs of manufacturing, strength of foreign markets and transportation costs.  We will try to accommodate people who have intent to buy in the near future by issuing a quote form which will be good for 90 days.

Installation

Ceratile does not currently install any products.  Installing ceramic tile and or marble requires skill and specific knowledge.  We highly recommend that our customers take advantage of the many resource books offered through our site by Amazon.com.

Sizing

All sizes of tile are nominal and not to exact dimensions.  If exact sizes are needed, email us stating the item number and we will give you an exact size for that product.

Freight Claims

Please read the following important information about freight claims.

Please inspect and check your shipment thoroughly upon arrival.  Damage, whether obvious or hidden, must be reported to the transportation company within five days of receipt of the shipment at your premises to avoid waiving claims for damage.

Tile is packed at the warehouse to insure that the shipment will reach the customer in good condition.  All material is sold F.O.B. the warehouse.  Ownership of the material is transferred to the customer as soon as it leaves the warehouse.  However, we are willing to assist you in every possible way in collecting claims for loss or damage, but we are not responsible for collection of claims or replacement of merchandise.  All orders must be received regardless of its condition.  When this shipment was accepted by the transportation company, it was received by them in good condition.  It is their responsibility to deliver it in the same condition.  

Occasionally in transporting goods, a carrier will lose or damage material.  If this occurs to your shipment, you must file a claim immediately to cover your loss.  To expedite your claim, we recommend you follow these procedures:

Concealed Damage:

1. You must notify carrier immediately.

2. You must keep original packaging until inspection by carrier's agent is completed.  Request a copy.

3. You must file a written claim with the carrier within 15 days.  Carrier will advise you of documents which must accompany claim.

Visible Damage:

1. Have driver note damages on bill of lading at time of receipt.

2. Notify carrier to send agent for inspection immediately.  Keep original packaging until inspection is completed.

3. File a written claim with the carrier within 15 days.  Carrier will advise you of documents which must accompany claim.

UPS:

When UPS shipments arrive damaged (concealed or visible), you must contact UPS immediately for an inspection.

Missing Cartons: 

1. Have driver note missing cartons on bill of lading at time of delivery.

2. Notify carrier about shortage immediately.

3. If missing cartons are not received within five days, file a written claim with the carrier.
